If you are an individual who has strong language skills and would like to volunteer to help patients navigate through the medical process, we would like to meet you.

Current volunteer opportunities with OA are:

Medical Interpretation: Provide interpretive services for non-English speaking patients. Minimum of 2 appointments per month, with a 6 month commitment. Desired languages are Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

Translation: Translate medical documents, patient instructions, and copy for print and website publication. Accuracy and efficiency are critical. Translators are used on an "as needed" basis. Desired languages are Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

If you are interested in volunteering as an interpreter or translator, please complete our online  volunteer registration. Volunteers will be asked to complete a verbal test as part of the acceptance process.
